Probate

If a relative or loved one has recently passed away, you likely have questions or need guidance as to how liabilities should be paid and assets distributed. An individual’s assets can pass in a variety of ways upon death, including via beneficiary designation, joint tenancy, last will and testament, revocable trust or intestacy.

Mr. Gluth has assisted many families in transferring assets and dealing with debts and liabilities upon an individual’s death and he would be happy to meet with you at no charge to evaluate your situation and guide you through the probate process.

In the event that an estate is required to file a federal estate tax return (Form 706), regardless of whether tax is due, Mr. Gluth has extensive experience in the preparation and filing of such returns, including all available elections to reduce or defer the amount and payment of tax.

Such methods include charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, remainder gifts of a residence and donor advised funds. Mr. Gluth has experience implementing all of these techniques. If you are looking to reduce or eliminate your exposure to federal estate taxes or desire a stream of income from a charitable gift, Mr. Gluth can assist you in evaluating all charitable giving options to see if any of them satisfy your objectives. If you need assistance in understanding the income tax deduction rules for gifts to charities, Mr. Gluth can assist you with this as well.
